Mark Zuckerberg friended wife Priscilla Chan 21 years ago.
And in honor of the couple's first meeting, the Meta founder decided to go all out, recruiting T-Pain to join him in recreating Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz's 2003 hit "Get Low."
After all, the song has a special meaning for the Facebook cofounder and his wife. As Mark explained, the song "was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party."
"So every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary," he wrote on Instagram Nov. 13, alongside a throwback photo of the couple. "This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece."
He noted the song is available to listen to on Spotify, and added, "Love you P."
The 40-year-old, who wed Priscilla in 2012, also included several photos of the recording process with T-Pain, and gave fans a taste of their musical stylings, which they attributed to the band name Z-Pain.
As for the cover itself, while the original version of "Get Low" is known today as a rap and hip-hop classic with its incredibly NSFW lyrics, Mark and T-Pain went for a softer, guitar-forward version with Mark taking lead vocals and T-Pain on backup.
And it was a smash success. Priscilla—who shares daughters Maxima, 8, August, 7, and Aurelia, 20 months—loved the anniversary gift, as seen in Mark's Instagram Stories.
"So romantic," the 39-year-old proclaimed while listening to the song for the first time. "Oh my god it says ‘Z-Pain.'"
Mark then asked, "Is that the most romantic thing I've ever done?"
To which Priscilla responded, "It's so romantic. 21 years later I can't get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fond memories."
She also shared the song and Mark's post to her own Instagram Story, writing, "2003: Two kids fall in love."
While the tech mogul and pediatrician have kept their 12-year marriage low-key, they haven't been afraid to gush over how much their time together has meant to them, most recently when Priscilla shared a birthday tribute to Mark.
"As I reflect on the 21 of Mark's birthdays we have spent together," she wrote on Instagram in May, "one of my favorite things about Mark is how he really, truly believes in people."
She added, "He sees the potential in all of us. I have no idea what adventures are coming next, but I'm here for all of them. Here's to many more."
